The Donegal hurlers make the trip to Owenbeg on Saturday to take on Derry in their opening Christy Ring Cup fixture.
Donegal stepped up a championship level for 2025 having won the Nicky Rackard Cup last June.
Derry were comfortable winners in their recent league meeting, but Donegal manager Mickey McCann knows that if they are at their best it can be a much tighter game.
